JAKARTA - Foreign investors purchased up to 1.37 billion shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) on Wednesday, August 14, for a net volume of 465.11 million shares. This led to a rise in foreign buying volume, which reached 3.32 billion shares. Foreign sales then totalled around 2.96 billion shares, resulting in a net foreign surplus of 364.05 million shares.

Aside from that, 150.50 million shares of the building and infrastructure company PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) were purchased, bringing the net volume to almost 64 million shares. Shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), which operates in the energy resources infrastructure sector, were then purchased for 92.70 million shares, resulting in a net volume of 25.11 million shares. In the coal mining industry, 97.13 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were acquired, with a net volume of 67.20 million shares. The last shares purchased on the top buy list belonged to the minimarket company PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT), namely 40.61 million shares, with a net volume of 35.36 million shares.

Meanwhile, on the top-selling list, shares of PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) were sold for 456.35 million shares, resulting in a net volume of 456.35 million shares due to no share buy transactions. Furthermore, shares of multimedia business PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) were sold for 44.40 million shares, with a net volume of -30.92 million shares. The shares of the general mining contractor services company PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) were then sold for 40.32 million shares with a net volume of -30.45 million shares, followed by the sale of 53.22 million shares of the construction, infrastructure, and real estate company PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) with a net volume of 53.22 million shares. Finally, shares of the lifestyle goods retail company PT MAP Aktif Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPA) were sold for 19.83 million shares, with a net volume of -15.57 million shares. (KD)
