JAKARTA – Financial Services Authority (OJK) urges PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) to conclude the policyholders dispute resolution in a comprehensive way. Until now, there still have been Jiwasraya insurance policyholders that do not approve restructuring scheme initiated by Jiwasraya.

Aman Sentosa, Head of Department of Financial Literacy, Inclusivity, and Communication of OJK, mentioned that OJK will respect ongoing legal proceedings regarding the policyholders’ disagreement upon the restructuring scheme.

“OJK requests the parties, including Jiwasraya, to respect ongoing legal process and follow up according to the laws and regulations,” Sentosa said in the press release quoted today (20/8).

As of now, almost all Jiwasraya policyholders have agreed upon the policy restructuring scheme and have been transferred to PT Asuransi Jiwa IFG (IFG Life). IFG Life will take up the responsibility over ex-Jiwasraya policyholders by providing healthier products according to the policy requirements, thus securing policyholders’ rights better.

According to Sentosa, Jiwasraya has been ordered to present a Financial Health Plan that has been approved by its shareholders, by also involving related ministries. (LK/ZH)
