JAKARTA – Jakarta Stock Price Composite Index (JCI) soared to 7,586.78 at today’s (21/8) opening bell, surpassing the number seen last Tuesday’s (20/8) morning.

Monitoring the board today, JCI was seen gaining major strides until 10.30 AM WIB since the opening of the morning session at 9 AM, in which it began at 7,563.73. This is JCI’s new record, compared to last week’s trend, which it only stagnated at around 7,250-ish.

The index uptrend was then further reflected to other indices, including LQ45 that went up 0.74% to 946.114, IDX30 up 0.78% to 480.338, IDX80 up 0.56% to 131.903, and IDXESGL up 0.58% to 167.220.

Several blue-chip stocks that were seen riding the uptrend include PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI).

On the contrary, other stocks were seen corrected, such as PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), and PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN). (LK/ZH)
