JAKARTA. PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) announces its latest collaboration with Ayala Group, an energy company from the Philippines, to develop wind power plant.

This strategic partnership will be executed through ACEN Indonesia Investment Holdings Pte. Ltd. as a part of Ayala Group. Meanwhile, BREN will send PT Barito Wind Energi to this deal.

The partnership between ACEN Indonesia and Barito Wind will begin through the acquisition of 3 assets of wind power development located in South Sulawesi, Sukabumi, and Lombok. These assets are claimed to have a potential power production by up to 320 megawatts (MW).

“This exclusive partnership with Barito Renewables is a bold step forward in our commitment to promote renewable energy sector in Indonesia,” said Patrice Clausse, Chief Investment Officer of ACEN Group, in the official statement.

In the meantime, Hendra Tan, Chief Executive Officer of BREN, said that this partnership will promote sustainable growth of renewable energy in Indonesia. “This strategic measure reasserts our commitment in pioneering renewable energy solution and the contribution for greener future,” he concluded.
