JAKARTA - PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) once again seized the top spot at market capitalisation list, defeating 934 other issuers in the stock exchange as of August 2024. This company, owned by the tycoon Prajogo Pangestu, books market cap of IDR 1.43 quadrillion.

Based on IDNFinancials’ compiled data today (3/9), this Indeks52 constituent perched at the top of market cap list, representing 10.97% of total market cap of IDR 13.11 quadrillion as of August 2024.

In June 2024, it recorded market cap of IDR 1.34 quadrillion or 11.15% of total market cap of IDR 12.09 quadrillion at that time.

At the runner-up, sat PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) with market cap of IDR 1.21 quadrillion or 10.02% of total market cap. In July 2024, this Indeks52 constituent actually reigned in terms of market cap in the stock market, recording market cap of IDR 1.25 quadrillion or 10.16% of total market cap of IDR 12.33 quadrillion.

Then, the third position was occupied by  PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) with market cap of IDR 862.95 trillion or 6.58% of total market cap as of August 2024, after replacing PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), which was still at the third spot in July 2024 with market cap IDR 857.52 trillion.

Therefore, last August saw AMMN slipping to the fifth position with market cap of IDR 772.31 trillion, while the fourth spot was secured by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) with market cap of IDR 772.72 trillion. (LK/ZH)
