JAKARTA – PT Lautan Luas Tbk (LTLS), a chemical distributor, implements sustainability strategies through two of its subsidiaries, PT Lautan Natur Krimerindo (LNK), and another subsidiary engaged in the supporting services sector.

LNK, the manufacturer of FIberCreme, has reportedly installed 1,416 solar panels with total capacity of 635 kilowatt (kW) in its factory in Mojokerto, East Java.

In the meantime, another subsidiary, whose name is undisclosed, is also said to currently build a warehouse with a green building concept in Cikarang. This is projected to improve efficiency and storage capacity.

“This new warehouse is built over a land of 1.9 hectare and is designed to have a dry storage capacity that will contain up to 20,000 palette positions,” added the management of LTLS in the press release quoted today (12/9).

The management claimed to be quite enthusiastic with the prospect of this upcoming green warehouse. “This facility is a part of our strategy to reinforce Lautan Luas’s logistics store,” Eurike Hadijaya, Corporate Communication & Investor Relations Manager of LTLS.

For the record, as of June 2024, 90% of LTLS’s revenue came from domestic sales. “Nearly 90% of our total revenue were sales in Indonesia, particularly to B2B segment in food and beverages, chemicals, animal feed, and personal & household care industries,” added Hadijaya.

Until the end of the first half (H1) of 2024, its revenue reached IDR 3.7 trillion, up 5.7% year-on-year (yoy) from IDR 3.5 trillion. This surge then drove net profit skyrockets from IDR 51.3 billion to IDR 136.56 billion, or up 166% yoy. (ZH)
