Bank DBS Indonesia to work with Mirae Asset to launch multi-currency RDN
JAKARTA - PT Bank DBS Indonesia has officially launched its investment account (Rekening Dana Nasabah/RDN) service, pairing up with PT Mirae Asset Sekuritas Indonesia (Mirae Asset) as its security company partner to facilitate easier and swift investment through MStock by Mirae Asset or digibank by Bank DBS Indonesia.
The investment account will be equipped with many benefits, including competitive interest rate of 1% per annum (p.a.), free administration fee, as well as easier investment top-up and monitoring through digibank app. Not only that, the management of Bank DBS Indonesia said that in 2025, RDN service will be available in US Dollar.
“As Bank DBS is an international bank, it will open up doors and opportunities towards the development and innovation of latest products, even the ones that haven’t been heard, namely the development of US-Dollar-based RDN,” said Martha Christina, Head of Investment Information of Mirae Asset, when met at Press Conference of the Launch of RDN of Bank DBS Indonesia and Mirae Asset Sekuritas today (24/9) at Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) tower.
“We all know investment instruments in Indonesia, in general, are divided into rupiah and US Dollar. We notice many challenges, especially in US-Dollar-based security trading, faced not only by investors, but also the security companies. Now, we make this process more seamless,” added Djoko Soelistyo, Head of Investment & Insurance Product of Bank DBS Indonesia.
According to the press release quoted today (24/9), Bank DBS Indonesia has been appointed by PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) as RDN Administrator Bank and Payment Bank since July 2024. Then, through this RDN service launch, the management of Bank DBS Indonesia claims to have set the target to record 1 million new stock exchange investors within the next 5 years.
In addition, through this service, Bank DBS Indonesia is surely targeting growth in its asset under management (AUM). “We definitely aim for double-digit growth, and thank God, so far, year-to-date, we have reached said double-digit growth rate,” added Soelistyo on the same occasion.
Users of Bank DBS Indonesia may register to open their investment accounts through digibank app. Then, from MStock app by Mirae Asset, the users may select RDN of Bank DBS Indonesia as their fund source for stock trading activities. (ZH)
