JAKARTA. PT Pelayaran Kurnia Lautan Semesta Tbk (KLAS), a logistics and delivery company, will initiate a stock dividend and bonus shares distribution.

The management of KLAS will ask for approval from its shareholders during Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders set to take place on October 31, 2024.

The stock dividend that will be distributed by KLAS will be taken out from capitalisation of its earnings. Total stock dividend proposed for distribution clocks up to 2.44 billion shares at most, or worth IDR 52.38 billion.

“With these numbers, the proposed ratio of stock dividend distribution is 8:1,” said the management of KLAS in the official statement.

Meanwhile, bonus shares to be distributed by KLAS came from its shares at premium (agio) as of December 31, 2023. The proposed number of bonus shares is IDR 60.62 billion, equal to 3.68 billion shares. “With these numbers, the ratio of bonus shares distribution reaches 10:7,” added the management of KLAS.

According to IDNFinancials record, KLAS made its debut in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on June 12, 2023. In its initial public offering (IPO), the company managed to raise IDR 78.84 billion for 540 million shares publicly offered. (KR/ZH)
