A year in the stock market, two issuers show massive slippage
JAKARTA – The stock performance of two companies, PT Multitrend Indo Tbk (BABY) and PT Anugerah Spareparts Sejahtera Tbk (AEGS), plummeted after a year debuting in the stock exchange since September 2023.
Based on the data compiled by IDNFinancials today (25/9), BABY debuted through initial public offering (IPO) on September 7, 2023, issuing 534 million shares for IDR 266 each, aiming to raise IDR 142.04 billion.
A year after its IPO, BABY saw 27.88% decline to IDR 208 per share as of September 9, 2024. Transaction volume reached 642,300 shares in 80 transactions worth IDR 132.47 million, with market cap recorded at IDR 544.17 billion.
In the meantime, AEGS plummeted even worse, down 64% to IDR 36 per share as of September 11, 2024, from IDR 100 per share seen during its IPO. Transaction volume only reached 2.52 million shares, recorded in 135 transactions worth IDR 91.46 million.
Total listed shares of AEGS were recorded at 1 billion with market cap of IDR 36.21 billion. At its IPO, the company managed to raise IDR 40 billion by offering 400 million shares to the public. (LK/ZH)
