JAKARTA - Foreign investors increased their share buy transactions on Tuesday, September 24, resulting in a foreign purchase volume of 4.33 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign sales totaled around 3.70 billion shares, which generated a net foreign surplus of 622.56 million shares.

The digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the greatest share acquisition, with foreign investors buying 1.92 billion shares for a net volume of 382.23 million shares.

In addition, foreign investors purchased 61.89 million shares of domestic and foreign shipping services firm PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) and 145.02 million shares of banking company PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI). These two purchase activities resulted in net volumes of BULL and BBRI of around 53.50 million shares each.

In the coal mining operations, PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) shares were purchased for 57.07 million shares, with a net volume of 51.43 million shares. Shares in the mineral mining business PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) were also purchased, totaling 111.19 million shares with a net volume of 45.23 million shares.

On the other hand, shares of BRMS' parent company, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), in the coal mining industry, were sold for 235.96 million shares, with a net volume of -124.53 million shares. Apart from that, shares of the renewable energy company PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) were sold for 202.80 million shares with a net volume of -134.93 million shares.

In the telecoms sector, about 48.36 million shares of PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) were sold with no shares purchased, resulting in a net volume of -48.36 million shares. Shares of the banking company PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) were then sold for 30.14 million shares, for a net volume of -23.21 million shares, followed by the sale of 32.67 million shares of the natural gas distributor company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), for a net volume of -18.81 million shares.
