UOB Kay Hian owns 96% of Centratama Telekomunikasi (CENT) after purchasing 18 billion shares
JAKARTA - On Wednesday, September 25, PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (CENT) saw the purchase of 18.04 billion shares by foreign investor UOB Kay Hian Private Limited. This Singaporean investor's shareholding jumped from 38.3% to 96.17% as a result of the transaction through PT UOB Kay Hian Sekuritas, making them the current controlling shareholder. The CENT stock is actively involved in the development of telecommunications infrastructure.
Additionally, DBS Bank Ltd S/A PT Bank KEB Hana Indonesia, a different foreign investor, joined the business as a new shareholder in PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR), a property developer. This investor now owns 5% of LPKR shares after acquiring 3.54 billion shares. Hsienny Chandra, an individual investor, also purchased 61.14 million new shares of PT Paperocks Indonesia Tbk (PPRI), representing a share portion of 5.69%. Paperocks is an issuer in the packaging and paper container business.
One of PT Maxindo Karya Anugerah Tbk (MAXI) investors, PT Karya Nusa Perdana, recorded the next share addition when they purchased 6 million shares of this snack food manufacturer. Additionally, PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala purchased 603,074 more shares of PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA), a provider of financial services.
In the meantime, PT Golden Prima Energy released 56 million shares of coal mining company PT Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (SMMT), resulting in a decrease in the share portion from 25% to 23.22%. PT Cipta Rasa Juara then sold fifty million shares of the food and beverage company PT Champ Resto Indonesia Tbk (ENAK), and PT Langgeng Bahagia then sold over nineteen million shares of PT Langgeng Makmur Industri Tbk (LMPI), an issuer in the household furniture industry made of plastic and aluminum.
Next, 2 million shares of PT Wilton Makmur Indonesia Tbk (SQMI), a company involved in gold mining and exploration, were sold by foreign investors CGS International Securities Singapore Pte Ltd. Ultimately, despite still owning 1.94 billion shares overall, Ruhong Holding Pte Ltd saw a decline in its ownership of PT Perma Plasindo Tbk (BINO), the distributor and manufacturer of office equipment, from 88.51% to 88.5%.
