JAKARTA. PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) announces its latest collaboration with PT Prudential Sharia Life Assurance to expand the scope of bancassurance services.

Hery Gunardi, President Director of BRIS, said that this partnership aligns with the company’s commitment to become a financial partner for its users by providing broader alternatives of banking and financial services.

“We hope that this collaboration may further solidify our services, and the users feel more satisfactory with diverse products and services offered by BSI,” added Gunardi in the official statement.

Gunari further mentioned that Prudential Sharia is currently the major player in sharia insurance industry in Indonesia, which is believed to be able to become a positive catalyst in boosting national sharia financial inclusivity and literacy.

For the record, as of June 2024, BRIS reportedly managed 20.46 million users. This collaboration with Prudential Sharia is expected to generate extra revenue from higher fee-based income.

Throughout the first half (H1) of 2024, BRIS reported fee-based income of IDR 2.48 trillion, up 28.01% year-on-year (yoy) from IDR 1.94 trillion reported in the same period last year. (KR/ZH)
