Afternoon session saw JCI crashed below 7,500
JAKARTA – Jakarta Stock Price Composite Index (JCI) crashed at the red zone nearing the closing bell today (10/10). The index only briefly soared to over 7,500, recorded at 9 AM WIB.
Monitoring the board at the last minute of today’s session, JCI shifted to 7,478.17, only a slight gain from its worst position today at 9.40 AM WIB at 7,472.95. The index was seen gaining strides at the morning session to 7,515.79, before plummeting to the red zone.
This sluggish state affected other indices, including LQ45 that got corrected 0.25% to 928.764, IDX30 down 0.16% to 478.756, IDX80 down 0.24% to 132.207, and IDXESGL down 0.10% to 162.552.
Several blue-chip stocks that got corrected include PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF), PT Muli Boga Raya Tbk (KEJU), PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk (GOOD), PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS), and PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM).
On the other hand, some issuers with jumbo market cap still reported slippages, such as PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP), and PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR). (LK/ZH)
