Govt aims for IDR 8 trillion in state sukuk auction next week
JAKARTA. The Indonesian government once again will hold an auction of Government Sharia Securities (SBSN) or government sukuk on Tuesday, 22 October, 2024.
There are 7 series of state sukuk that will be offered in the auction, according to information from the Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) of the Ministry of Finance. The details consist of 2 series of SPNS (State Treasury Letters – Sharia) and 5 PBS (Projects Based Sukuk).
The seven series of sukuk were auctioned in order to "fulfill part of the financing target in the 2024 APBN."
The rewards offered for the SPNS series are in the form of discounts. Meanwhile, the rewards offered for PBS series range from 4.87% to 6.87%.
According to idnfinancials.com data, the Indonesian government has held 20 government sukuk auctions since the beginning of 2024. In the last auction held, namely October 8, 2024, the number of bids entered in the sukuk auction was recorded at IDR 14.81 trillion. (KR/LM)
