JAKARTA - On Thursday, October 17, foreign buying volume reached 4.79 billion shares from 941 share issuers. The most shares purchased belonged to the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), which was bought for 1.28 billion shares with a net volume of 229.41 million shares. Foreign sales volume then totaled 3.27 billion shares, resulting in a net foreign volume surplus of 1.51 billion shares.

Continuing the list of share purchases, foreign investors purchased 929.36 million shares of the mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), for a net total of 706.43 million shares. Shares of BRMS's parent firm, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), which operates in the coal mining industry, were also purchased for 514.98 million shares, for a net volume of 351.46 million shares. In the gold mining industry, about 257.60 million shares of PT J Resources Asia Pasifik Tbk (PSAB) were acquired, with a net volume of 199.26 million shares. PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) shares in the energy resources infrastructure sector were then purchased for 116.43 million shares, resulting in a net volume of 110.42 million shares.

Meanwhile, 133.44 million shares of e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were sold, for a net volume of -110.89 million shares. Furthermore, shares of the port services company PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI) were sold for 67.32 million shares, with a net volume of -57.40 million shares, followed by the sale of 82.71 million shares of the electronics retail company PT Multipolar Tbk (MLPL), for a net volume of -43.09 million shares. In the banking industry, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) stock was sold for 95.48 million shares, with a net volume of -38.38 million shares. The last stock on the top-selling list belonged to the electric vehicle battery manufacturer PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA), which was sold for 41.76 million shares with a net volume of -31.35 million shares.
