JAKARTA - On Monday, October 21, foreign investors made higher share purchases and recorded a foreign buying volume of up to 5.32 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign sales totaled just 4.29 billion shares, resulting in a net foreign surplus of 1.02 billion shares. Nearly half of the overall share purchases were done to the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), which was bought for 2.06 billion shares for a net volume of 777.62 million shares.

Moreover, 141.23 million shares of PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), a domestic and overseas shipping services company, were purchased, for a net volume of 108.16 million shares. 22.33 million shares of the multimedia company PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) were also purchased for a net volume of 104.46 million shares, followed by 91.14 million shares of the industrial area development company PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) for a net volume of 80.59 million shares. In the gold mining industry, about 145.33 million shares of PT J Resources Asia Pasifik Tbk (PSAB) were acquired, with a net volume of 75.84 million shares.

On the other hand, top-selling list began with the sale of 308.25 million shares of e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), for a net volume of -124.48 million shares. The next shares sold were 221.77 million shares of mineral mining business PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), for a net volume of -117.65 million. Furthermore, shares of BRMS' parent company, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), which works in the coal mining sector, were sold for 151.16 million shares, with a net volume of -80.61 million shares. In the property sector, PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR) stock was sold for 298.87 million shares, with a net volume of -113.42 million shares. Finally, shares of electronics retailer PT Multipolar Tbk (MLPL) were sold for 172.34 million shares, resulting in a net volume of -106.73 million shares. (KD)
