Gojek Tokopedia shares buying generates net foreign volume surplus of 1.63 billion shares
JAKARTA - On Tuesday, October 22, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had up to 4.75 billion shares purchased, for a net volume of 1.54 billion shares.
This transaction contributed to an increase in foreign buying volume, which reached 7.41 billion shares, and a net foreign surplus of 1.63 billion shares. The foreign sales volume then totaled 5.78 billion shares.
In addition to GOTO shares, foreign investors purchased 356.24 million shares of mineral mining business PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) for a net volume of 179.58 million shares. Shares of PT Topindo Solusi Komunika Tbk (TOSK), which works in the credit sales industry, were then purchased for 57.10 million shares, with a net volume of 55.76 million shares. The palm oil producer company PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) and the automotive company PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) both had net volumes in the range of 50 million shares after foreign investors bought 57.10 million NSSS shares and 89.54 million ASII shares.
Meanwhile, more shares of PT WIR ASIA Tbk (WIRG), which focuses on Augmented Reality (AR) technology, were sold (103.44 million shares) than the shares purchased, and the net volume was -78.67 million shares. In the banking sector, 129.87 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) were sold, for a net volume of -75.91 million shares. Foreign investors also sold 89.07 million shares of internet service provider PT Sinergi Inti Andalan Prima Tbk (INET), for a net volume of -60.65 million shares. The following shares sold belonged to the gold mining business PT J Resources Asia Pasifik Tbk (PSAB), totaling around 83.34 million shares with a net volume of -44.73 million shares. Finally, hotel and resort management business PT MNC Land Tbk (KPIG) shares were sold for 66.63 million shares, with a net volume of -37.97 million shares. (KD)
