Wilmar Cahaya’s net profit soared 78.6% in 9M 2024
JAKARTA. PT Wilmar Cahaya Indonesia Tbk (CEKA), a vegetable oil and cooking oil manufacturer, booked net profit of IDR 218.06 billion in the first nine months (9M) of 2024.
The number was 78.6% year-on-year (yoy) higher compared to the same period last year, in which CEKA only scored net profit of IDR 122.09 billion.
CEKA’s profit growth in 9M 2024 was supported by its revenue that clocked up to IDR 5.56 trillion, or 18% yoy higher from IDR 4.71 trillion in 9M 2023.
In addition, CEKA’s profit surge in 9M 2024 also resulted from its interest income that reached IDR 20.75 billion, or 2.4 times higher compared to its interest income in 9M 2023, which only reached IDR 6.06 trillion.
According to the recently released financial report, most of CEKA’s sales in 9M 2024 came from the domestic region, bringing total sales of IDR 5.4 trillion, whereas export only generated sales of IDR 165.4 billion.
Until September 30, 2024, CEKA’s total assets were reported at IDR 2.23 trillion, with total equity at IDR 1.8 trillion. (KR/ZH)
