JAKARTA. PT Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk (MLBI), an alcoholic beverage manufacturer, booked net profit of IDR 762.57 billion within the first nine months (9M) of 2024.

The number saw a 28.6% year-on-year (yoy) increase from the same period last year, in which the company only managed to record net profit of IDR 592.75 billion.

According to the recently released financial report, MLBI’s profit growth in 9M 2024 is in line with its net sales that shifted to IDR 2.33 trillion, or 2.5% yoy higher from IDR 2.27 trillion in 9M 2023.

In addition, MBLI successfully implemented efficiency strategies in its cost of goods sold by up to 1.2% yoy in 9M 2024. Then, its selling expenses were also lowered by 12% yoy, with general and administrative expenses down 1.17% yoy, as well.

In terms of products, alcoholic beverages still supported most of MLBI’s sales in 9M 2024, generating a total of IDR 2.11 trillion, then, non-alcohol products only scored sales of IDR 218.44 billion. (KR/ZH)
