JAKARTA - Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) lists 10 issuers with the highest number of shares in the stock exchange as of October 29, 2024. Interestingly, the number of shares does not always in line with market capitalisation, as the list shows that the shares value may vary.

Based on IDX data compiled by IDNFinancials today (30/10), PT Goto Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) was at the top of the list among 934 listed issuers in the stock market. However, its market cap is much lower compared to PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), which arrives at the ninth in the list. For comparison, BREN's market cap actually reigns over all companies in the stock exchange.

Here is the list of the top listed issuers with the highest number of shares:

GOTO recorded 1.20 trillion listed shares with the closing price hitting IDR 70 each yesterday (29/10). The company booked market cap of IDR 84.10 trillion. 

PT Smarfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) comes next with 476.70 billion shares with closing price of 27 each yesterday. Its market cap was recorded at IDR 12.87 trillion.

PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) was seen with 371.32 billion shares and the latest closing price of IDR 139 each yesterday, bringing the market cap to IDR 51.61 trillion. 

PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) then booked 185.81 billion shares with closing price of IDR 61 per share yesterday, thus allowing market cap reaching IDR 11.15 trillion.

PT Sentul City Tbk (BKSL) followed behind with 167.70 billion listed shares with yesterday's closing price at IDR 47 per share. The market cap was recorded at IDR 7.88 trillion.

PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) also recorded a lot of shares, clocking up to 160.05 billion, with closing price set to IDR 55 per share. The market cap then arrived at IDR 8.80 billion.

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Perseroan) Tbk (BBRI) came in the seventh with 150.04 billion listed shares, while its closing price arrived at IDR 4,700 per share. Its market cap reached IDR 703.70 trillion. 

PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) then reported 141.78 billion listed shares, with the closing price set to IDR 376 each, bringing its market cap to IDR 53.03 trillion.

At the ninth position, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) booked 133.78 billion shares with the closing price of IDR 6,800 each, yesterday (29/10). As one of Prajogo Pangestu's crown jewels, its market cap soared as high as IDR 893.02 trillion.

Lastly, PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk (BELI) saw listed shares of 128.11 billion, with the closing price arriving at IDR 450 per share, thus making total market cap worth IDR 57.91 trillion. (LK/ZH)
