KAI to issue debt securities totaling IDR 2 trillion
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), a transportation operator, will offer bonds and sukuk worth a total of IDR 2 trillion on (15/11). The two debt securities will be issued in three series each.
In the short prospectus quoted on Tuesday (5/11), the Shelf Registration Bonds II Phase I 2024 are worth IDR 1.5 trillion and the Shelf Registration Bonds II Phase I 2024 are worth IDR 500 billion.
The proceeds from the bonds will be used a maximum of IDR 1 trillion to refinance Bonds I of 2017 Series B and the remainder for partial refinancing of Bonds II of 2019 Series A.
Meanwhile, the proceeds from the Sukuk will be used a maximum of IDR 400 billion for refinancing Bonds II of 2019 Series A and the remainder for developing goods transportation in Southern Sumatra in the form of building a double track railway, arranging emplacements at Kramasan Station.
Underwriters for the bond and sukuk issuance include PT Bahana Sekuritas, PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, PT CIMB Niaga Sekuritas, and PT Mandiri Sekuritas. The Bond and Sukuk trustees appointed respectively are PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA) and PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS). (LK/LM)
