JAKARTA – Donald Trump is confirmed as the 47th Elected President of the United States of America (USA) after securing the highest electoral votes, defeating Kamala Harris, his rival in US Election 2024 as of Tuesday (5/11) local time.

Quoted from BBC, Trump’s supporters received Donald Trump’s news of confirmed victory with elated cries at West Palm Beach, Florida, local time. On said occasion, Trump also expressed his gratitude towards the mass that showed enthusiasm for his victory.

Until now, Trump, backed by the Republicans, bags 266 votes from 270 votes required for victory claim as US President. Meanwhile, Harris, the Democratics’ candidate, only scores 219 electoral votes. Thus, the unconfirmed electoral votes from 7 remaining states will not affect Trump’s victory.

The 7 states in question are Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. Moreover, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia are projected to be red states and thus cementing Trump’s leading position in this election. (LK/ZH)
