JAKARTA - PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST), the KFC franchise license holder, continues to record a loss in Q3 2024, worsening from the same period last year by up to 266.44% year-on-year.

Based on Q3 2024 Financial Report quoted Monday (11/11), its loss was recorded at IDR 557.08 billion, swelling from IDR 152.41 billion seen in Q3 2023. This loss resulted from declining revenue from IDR 4.16 trillion to IDR 3.59 trillion.

FAST’s gross profit was also seen shrinking to IDR 2.08 trillion, down 28.05% yoy from IDR 2.89 trillion, bringing its margin down to 60% from 62.65%. Then, its operating loss worsened to IDR 585.34 billion from IDR 146.62 billion, partly due to increased operating expenses.

The biggest contributor of KFC’s revenue until September 2024 came from food and beverages sales of IDR 3.53 trillion, down from IDR 4.6 trillion seen in 9M 2023.

Then, consignation commission also shrank from IDR 17.26 billion to IDR 15.36 billion, followed by delivery service that brought only IDR 1.41 billion, decreasing from the previous IDR 2.07 billion. (LK/ZH)
