BANDUNG – Lani Darmawan, President Director of PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA), has been named The Best CEO by Tempo-IDNFinancials, recognized for her leadership in consistently delivering double-digit performance growth.

Darmawan received a special mention for Outstanding Profit Growth at the awards, a collaboration between Tempo and IDN Financials, reflecting BNGA’s remarkable profit growth over the past few years.

According to idnfinancials.com, BNGA recorded a net profit of IDR 6.47 trillion in 2023, up from IDR 5.05 trillion in 2022, IDR 4.1 trillion in 2021, and IDR 2.01 trillion in 2020. BNGA’s 2023 net profit growth was 28.41% year-on-year (yoy), following a 22.96% yoy increase in 2022 and a significant 103.75% you rise in 2021.

This growth has resulted in a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 38.78% for BNGA’s net profit. By September 30, 2024, the bank had already surpassed its 2023 profit, posting IDR 6.6 trillion in net profit.

BNGA’s strong financial performance in recent years has also secured its position as one of Indonesia’s largest banks, earning it a place on the Indeks52, under both the Main Index and High Growth categories. Indeks52, a collaboration between Tempo and IDN Financials, ranks 52 public companies based on various criteria.

Darmawan, who joined BNGA in 2016, has a career in financial services that spans over three decades, starting in 1990. She has held numerous strategic positions at national banks before taking the helm at BNGA. (KR)
