BANDUNG – Anthoni Salim, President Director of PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP), was awarded The Best CEO with Special Mention: Outstanding Support for Student Academic Research through IRN at the Top CEO Indonesia Awards 2024 in Bandung on Friday (15/11).

IRN stands for Indofood Riset Nugraha, an initiative by Indofood to fund research activities for students who have research projects related to enhancing national food security. The submitted proposals are thoroughly selected and evaluated by experts in the field.

According to the ICBP 2023 Sustainability Report, the number of IRN applicants grew by 29% last year, with over 600 proposals from 84 universities. It’s worth noting that the program, which has been running since 1998, has funded research for 1,000 students through 6,000 proposals. This long-standing commitment, spanning more than 15 years, is part of ICBP's efforts to develop human resources by bridging academia and industry.

In addition to its consistent social program, ICBP has also maintained stable financial performance. Sales have steadily increased over the past five years despite challenges such as the pandemic and rising raw material costs. By September 2024, net sales had risen 8.14% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 55.5 trillion, generating a net profit of IDR 9.37 trillion, a 15.6% yoy increase.

ICBP, a subsidiary of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF), is also a constituent of Indeks52, a stock index formed by Tempo and IDNFinancials in 2023. Furthermore, last year at the Top CEO Indonesia 2023 event held by Tempo-IDNFinancials in Bali, Anthoni Salim was also recognized as The Best CEO in Processed Foods through INDF. (ZH)
