JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI has again won the highest title of "The Best Overall in Corporate Governance" at the 15th IICD Corporate Governance Conference & Award 2024 in the category of Public Companies with the Largest Market Capitalization (Big Cap Public Listed Company), after BNI received the same award in 2023. This event was held at the Pullman Hotel Thamrin Ballroom, Monday (11/25).

Corporate Secretary, Okki Rushartomo said that the award that BNI has won is a testament to the company's commitment to continue to improve the quality of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) implementation. The 15th IICD Corporate Governance Conference and Award itself is an annual event to give appreciation to public companies with the best GCG practices.

"We would like to thank IICD for trusting us to once again hold the title of 'The Best Overall in Corporate Governance', This award is a driving force for BNI to continue to improve the quality of best governance practices," said Okki in his official statement.

The assessment was carried out on 200 issuers based on the largest (Big Cap) and medium (Mid Cap) market capitalization listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange based on the 2023 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard assessment method.

Okki firmly stated that the implementation of good GCG is an important aspect to provide investors with confidence to invest. The implementation of GCG principles that are carried out consistently and sustainably is seen as being able to have a positive impact on value creation and BNI's business sustainability.

Moving forward, BNI continues to be committed to implementing GCG and sustainability principles consistently. "Consistent implementation of GCG and sustainability will contribute to the credibility and performance of the company," he added. (*)
