JAKARTA. The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) in today's first trading session corrected 0.45% to 7,293.96, after strengthening in the last 2 days.

The JCI transaction value in today's first trading session was recorded at IDR 5.1 trillion, according to data compiled by idnfinancials.com. This transaction involved 8.5 billion shares, with a trading frequency of 731,048 times.

Of all issuer shares traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) floor, 268 shares showed uptrend in the first session. Meanwhile, 27 shares weakened and 235 shares remained stagnant.

The financial sector weighed on the JCI in today's first session, with the sectoral index dropping 0.82%.

PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) shares were ranked first in the IHSG Top Laggards for the first session today, with a decline of 15.7 index points. Then shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) contributed to a decline of 13 index points, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) 12.6 index points, and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) 4.7 index points.

Previously, in trading on Tuesday and Wednesday (3-4/12), the JCI showed successive increases of 2.11% and 1.82%. Meanwhile, on Monday (2/12), the JCI fell 0.95%. (KR/LM)
