JAKARTA. Stocks owned by Prajogo Pangestu spearheaded the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) rise, gaining 0.95% or 69.47 points to reach 7,382.79 during Friday’s (6/12) trading session.

According to data compiled by idnfinancials.com, the trading volume reached 15.95 billion shares, with a total transaction value of IDR 9.6 trillion (USD 606 million), and the frequency of trades amounted to 1.1 million.

PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) led the Top Leaders list, contributing 37.22 index points to the rise. In second place was PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), which added 10.85 index points.

Another of Pangestu's companies, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), also ranked in the top 10, contributing 1.56 points to the index.

BREN's stock price surged by 13.33% in today’s trading session. Meanwhile, TPIA's stock rose by 3.58%, and BRPT increased by 2.69%.

Foreign investors recorded a net purchase (foreign net buy) of 15.88 million BREN shares, while TPIA shares saw a foreign net sell of 2.01 million shares, and BRPT logged a foreign net buy of 6.55 million shares.

Overall, however, today’s trading session saw a foreign net sell of IDR 170.36 billion (USD 10.75 million). (KR/ZH)
