IHSG Strengthens for Two Consecutive Days, Foreign Investors Continue Net Buy
JAKARTA – The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) saw continued gains over the past two days, prompting consistent net buying action from foreign investors.
On Tuesday (10/12), the IHSG rose by 0.21% or 15.56 points to close at 7,453.29. This followed a 0.74% or 54.95-point increase on Monday (9/12), which brought the index to 7,437.73.
Among all stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), 116 stocks posted gains of more than 2%. Additionally, 116 stocks saw gains between 0% and 2%, while 342 stocks remained stable. Meanwhile, 198 stocks declined up to 2%, and 124 stocks dropped by more than 2%.
PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) led the IHSG top leaders on Tuesday, with its stock price rising 3.74%, contributing 4.92 index points. Conversely, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) topped the laggards, with a 3.33% price drop, subtracting 9.94 index points.
On Monday, the IHSG’s rise was accompanied by foreign investor net buying worth IDR 296.35 billion, or equal to USD 18.56 million. This buying trend continued on Tuesday, with foreign investors recording a net buy of IDR 84.26 billion, or equal to USD 5.31 million. (KR/ZH)
