JAKARTA - On Wednesday, December 11, around 6.68 billion shares of Indonesian issuers were purchased by foreign investors, while approximately 6.36 billion shares were sold. This outstanding sum further contributed to the 315.21 million share net foreign surplus volume this time.

With 4.79 billion shares bought by foreigners and a net volume of around 536.12 million, PT Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), the parent company of digital services, topped the foreign buy list.

In addition, about 132.66 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastuktur Tbk (BIPI) were purchased, bringing the net volume to 118.09 million.

Foreigners also broadly bought 100.19 million shares of PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) and 92 million shares of PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL). The two telecom companies then reported net volumes of 53 million EXCL and 63 million TLKM, respectively.

A total of 32.62 million shares of PT Rukun Raharja Tbk (RAJA) were subsequently acquired. With a net volume of 23.03 million shares, the insurance company's shares also concluded this foreign purchase round.

In the meantime, the foreign sell list began with the sale of over 295 million shares of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA). At -146.48 million shares, this television broadcasting issuer subsequently became the one with the lowest net volume.

PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) came in second with a net volume of nearly -140 million shares after foreigners released 285.84 million of its shares. BUMI's mineral mining subsidiary, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), followed with a net volume of -106.08 million shares, reflecting the selling of 155.55 million shares by foreign investors.

Foreigners then released 119.03 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), one of the largest state-owned banks, bringing the net volume down to -51.32 million shares.

Lastly, 39.16 million shares of paint manufacturer PT Avia Avian Tbk (AVIA) were sold by foreign investors. AVIA's net volume then closed at -35.27 million shares due to the low purchase volume. (KD)
