JAKARTA. PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi Tbk (HITS) recently divested a unit of oil tanker owned by one of its subsidiaries.

Andi Alifwansyah, President Director of HITS, revealed that the oil tanker was sold to PT Hutama Trans Kencana (Matrans), an affiliate of the company.

“The transaction value of divestment of 1 unit of tanker is USD 2.97 million,” said Alifwansyah in the official statement.

Alifwansyah further said that the divestment is intended as a means of optimisation of oil transport business segment, ensuring more focused asset management. He also mentioned that this transaction will not have any material impact on operational activities of the company.

According to IDNFinancials data, HITS reported cash and cash equivalent of USD 788 million as of September 2024. Meanwhile, total equity was recorded at USD 1.71 billion.

Since the beginning of this year, HITS has shown 14.13% increase to IDR 420 per share, boosting market capitalisation to IDR 2.98 trillion. (KR/ZH)
