JAKARTA - PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK) increased its portion in PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) to 61.32% in a transaction taking place yesterday (11/12). In the past week, the stock did show an upward trend.

In the disclosure quoted Thursday (12/12), Titi Maria Rusli, Corporate Secretary of EMTK, confirmed that EMTK acquired 100 million additional shares of SCMA for IDR 180 each, totalling IDR 18 billion. The acquired shares account for 0.14% of SCMA’s issued shares.

Post-transaction, SCMA’s shares also rose to 45.35 billion from 45.25 billion shares, up 6.18%.

Monitoring the board in the afternoon, SCMA saw an upturn by IDR 9 to IDR 191 from the initial position of IDR 182 per share. Within one week, this EMTK’s subsidiary has increased 41.48% in terms of price level, starting from IDR 135 per share on December 6.

As of November 30, 2024, SCMA’s shares were recorded at 73.97 billion, with EMTK as the controller owning 60.975%, and non-controllers, 39.025%. Total number of shareholders stood at 30,085 shareholders with the ultimate beneficial owner of the shares being Eddy K. Sariaatmadja. (LK/ZH)
