Foreign transactions decreased; net foreign volume ended at -120 million shares
JAKARTA - Foreign investors' share purchasing and selling activity on Thursday, December 12, showed a downward trend compared to the previous day, with 3.12 billion shares purchased and 3.24 billion shares sold. The higher foreign selling volume then resulted in a net foreign volume of -120.10 million shares.
In first place on the top buy list, PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) shares in the energy resources infrastructure sector were purchased for 134.26 million shares with a net volume of 129.47 million shares.
Foreigners also purchased 1.51 billion shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), bringing the net volume to 126.23 million shares.
By purchasing around 70 million shares of PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) and PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) each, the net volume was 58.82 million shares for KIJA and 54.36 million shares for DEWA.
Furthermore, 49.24 million shares of PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) were purchased, for a net volume of 32.44 million shares.
Meanwhile, the sale of shares of two issuers in the banking sector began the top sell list. Foreigners sold 177.71 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and 76.40 million shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI). Following these trades, BBRI's net volume hit the lowest at -145.42 million shares, while BMRI's was -38.34 million shares.
In the media sector, 223.80 million shares of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) were sold and 127.33 million shares were purchased, resulting in a net volume of -96.47 million shares. In addition, foreigners released 45.59 million shares of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), resulting in a net volume of -36.11 million shares.
PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) was the last share to close the share sale list, with 153.48 million shares sold and a net volume of -28.26 million shares. (KD)
