JAKARTA - On Friday, December 6, PT Visi Media Asia Tbk acquired more than 17.64 billion shares of PT Intermedia Capital Tbk (MDIA), an issuer of content services, making it a new major stakeholder in the company.

Via PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, Visi Media acquired the outstanding number of shares from MDIA's controller, UOB Kay Hian (Hong Kong) Ltd. As a result, these two investors now own the same percentage of MDIA shares, each at 45%.

Additionally, foreign investor CGS International Securities Singapore Pte Ltd was still purchasing shares in PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), this time for a total of 145.17 million shares, which caused its stakes to marginally increase to 14.5%.

Then, through PT Mirae Asset Sekuritas Indonesia, PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk acquired up to fifty million shares in PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), a company involved in the multimedia and entertainment sector. As it continues to expand its stake in the lightweight brick and mortar cement manufacturer, PT Tancorp Investama Mulia set its sights on 43.57 million shares of PT Superior Prima Sukses Tbk (BLES).

Two of the investors in the real estate developer PT Alam Sutera Realty Tbk (ASRI), PT Manunggal Prime Development and PT Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia, reportedly traded up to 12.70 million shares of ASRI. Maybank Sekuritas' shareholding dropped to 8.54%, while Manunggal Prime's stake climbed to 21.15% as a result of the transaction.

On the other hand, PT Samuel Tumbuh Bersama sold a remarkable number of shares. Through PT Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia, this investor sold 1.48 billion shares of PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS), a company that produces palm oil, reducing the percentage of ownership to 43.58%.

PT Kuantum Akselerasi Indonesia then sold a total of 1.20 billion shares of PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), an issuer of electric vehicles. Lastly, nearly 21 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), a holding company involved in the mining industry, were released by foreign investor HSBC-Fund SVS A/C Chengdong Investment Corp-Self.
