Foreign sell surpasses 3 billion shares, net foreign volume closed at -986 million shares
JAKARTA - On Friday, December 13, foreign investors sold a total of 3.30 billion shares. Meanwhile, the total number of shares purchased was around 2.31 billion shares.
This share buying and selling activity then recorded a net foreign volume of -986.55 million shares.
The share purchase list then began with the energy resources infrastructure issuer PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), with a foreign buy of 173.96 million shares and a net volume of 165.88 million shares.
Furthermore, foreign investors acquired 41.54 million shares of PT Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison Tbk (ISAT). The transaction resulted in a net volume of 28.28 million shares for this telecom service provider business.
PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) shares were also purchased, totaling 16.69 million shares with a net volume of 8.81 million shares, followed by the purchase of 14.03 million shares of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR) with a net volume of 8.15 million shares.
In addition, foreigners purchased 6.39 million shares of PT Sinergi Inti Andalan Prima Tbk (INET) and sold only a few of its shares, resulting in a net volume that was not much different at 6.30 million shares.
On the other hand, share sales in the banking sector seemed to dominate the share sales list, where foreigners sold shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) (176.99 million shares), PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) (106.41 million shares), and PT Bank Neo Commerce Tbk (BBYB) (45.39 million shares). From these three transactions, the resulting net volume was -149.45 million shares for BBRI, -55.68 million shares for BMRI, and -41.65 million shares for BBYB.
Furthermore, foreigners were seen selling the most shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), totaling 1.57 billion shares and a net volume of -430.43 million shares.
The top sell list then finished with the selling of 203.91 million shares of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), a media company, for a net volume of -134.98 million shares. (KD)
