Foreigners bought nearly 5 billion shares, net foreign surplus 1.29 billion shares
JAKARTA - On Monday, December 16, foreign investors bought 4.84 billion shares from 946 issuers. On the other side, 3.55 billion shares were sold, yielding a net foreign volume excess of 1.29 billion shares.
With a purchase volume of 3.23 billion shares and a net volume of 1.44 billion shares, the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) ranked first on the top buy list.
Aside from that, 177.60 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) were purchased for a net volume of 167.54 million shares.
In the general mining contractor services sector, foreigners purchased 83.61 million shares of PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA). Based on this trade, the net volume recorded was 76.01 million shares.
The following shares purchased belonged to PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR), one of Indonesia's leading property corporations. Foreigners acquired 26.86 million LPKR shares, for a net volume of 13.40 million shares.
Furthermore, 12.66 million shares of PT Charlie Hospital Semarang Tbk (RSCH) were purchased while only 238.50 shares were sold, resulting in a net volume of approximately 12.42 million shares.
On the other hand, foreign investors sold shares in two well-known state-owned banks: PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI). BBRI shares were sold for 189.45 million shares with a net volume of -81.22 million shares, while BBNI shares were sold for 47.76 million shares with a net volume of -25.72 million shares.
In addition, shares of another state-owned company, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), were also sold for 115.37 million shares. This telecommunications business had a net volume of -60.46 million shares.
PT Avia Avian Tbk (AVIA) shares were then sold for 83.68 million, followed by 67.37 million shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA). These two transactions resulted in net volumes for AVIA and BUKA of approximately -41 million shares. (KD)
