JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) in today's trading closed in the green zone, up 0.39% or 6.63 points to 6,983.87.

Previously, JCI had closed lower for 6 consecutive days since Thursday (12/12) last week.

According to idnfinancials.com data, JCI had touched its highest point at 7,032.4 at around 15.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the lowest position of the JCI today was at 6,931.58 at around 10:00 WIB.

The transaction value on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in today's trading was recorded at IDR 12.48 trillion or equivalent to US$767 million. The volume of shares traded was recorded at IDR 19.51 billion, with a trading frequency of 1.01 million times.

Nevertheless, foreign investors still sold quite a lot. Foreign investor transactions today recorded net foreign sell of IDR417.99 billion or around US$25.7 million.

PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) shares ranked first in the Top Leaders, with a price increase of 4.25% and contributed 13.94 index points. Meanwhile, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) shares topped the Top Laggards, with a 0.73% decline in share price and 3.88 index points.

A number of sectors that drove JCI's performance today were Energy, Non-Cyclical Consumer, Healthcare, Finance, Technology, and Infrastructure. While other sectors are still corrected as well as the last few trading days. (KR/LM)
