JAKARTA—On Friday, December 27, the stock exchange saw a net sell of 15.98 million shares from foreign investors. A total of 2.55 billion shares were bought, while 2.56 billion shares were sold overall.

With 447.61 million shares, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) once again topped the list of equities with the highest net sell. This number came about as a result of foreigners selling around 1.49 billion GOTO shares while only purchasing over 1.04 billion.

From the mass media sector, PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) came in second with a net sell of 46.16 million shares, following the sale of 82.22 million shares by foreigners. Due to the release of approximately 63.04 million shares, the state-owned bank PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) also reported a net sell of approximately 41.21 million shares.

The mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) then reported a net sell of 23.86 million shares after 78.02 million of its shares were sold.

PT Metro Healthcare Indonesia Tbk (CARE), a hospital and integrated health services firm, ended the net sell series with a 13.42 million share of volume.

In the meantime, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), the issuer involved in the mineral mining industry, started the five shares with the biggest net buy transactions today. Over 218.24 million BRMS shares were purchased by foreigners, with a net buy of 108.77 million shares.

After foreigners purchased 102.66 million shares with no notable sales, energy industry issuer PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) followed with a net buy of 100.36 million shares.

Following that, PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) disclosed a net buy of 67.05 million shares, which was the result of purchasing 95.74 million shares and disposing of 28.68 million shares of this online commerce. Foreigners purchased 51.75 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), an energy infrastructure company, culminating in a net buy of 50.16 million shares.

Lastly, foreign investors sold almost 45.50 million shares of PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), the oil and gas tanker firm, resulting in nearly 44 million shares of net buy. (KD)
