Opening the year strong, JCI saw uptrend this morning
JAKARTA – Jakarta Stock Price Composite Index (JCI) saw gains at the morning session of the first trading day in 2025. JCI’s uptrend is in line with positive shifts by several big market capitalisation companies in the energy and banking sectors.
Monitoring the board this morning (2/1), JCI climbed to 7,110 from 7,092.43 seen at the opening bell at 9 AM WIB. Nearing 10 AM WIB, JCI peaked at 7,128.92 before slowing down to 7,103.90 at 9.39 AM WIB.
Some banking issuers with jumbo market cap saw collective uptrends, including PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI).
Similarly, energy companies also gained strides, such as PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), PT Pertamina Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), and PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO). (LK/ZH)
