JAKARTA - PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) is expanding its business portfolio as official distributor of Chinese-manufactured electric vehicle under the brand XPeng, through its affiliated entity, PT Era Inovasi Otomotif (EIO).

Quoted from the information disclosure today (2/1), Amelia Allen, Head of Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary of ERAA, confirmed that XPeng collaborates with EIO as the official partner to establish its electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.

“The company, though its affiliated company, is extending its business reach to electric vehicle industry, which will grant financial contribution for the company,” Allen said.

The cooperation agreement signing between EIO, Shenzen Xiaopeng Motors Supply Chain Management Co Ltd, and Guangzhou Xiaopeng Motors Trading Co Ltd (XPeng), took place yesterday (31/12).

EIO is a subsidiary controlled through PT Sinar Eka Selaras Tbk (ERAL) by 99.99%. ERAL is a distributor of accessories and internet of things (IoT) products supporting Erajaya Group’s business ecosystem.

Meanwhile, 80% of ERAL is under ERAA, which now manages various business industries, including beauty & wellness, food & nourishment, active lifestyle, and digital. (LK/ZH)
