JAKARTA – The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) strengthened by 1.82%, or 127.86 points, reaching 7,036.57 last week, accompanied by a net foreign sell of IDR 256.28 billion.

A total of 64.13 billion shares were traded throughout the week, with the total transaction value amounting to IDR 29.22 trillion.

The three stocks that contributed the most to the IHSG’s gain were PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), and PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS).

GOTO shares surged by 23.81%, adding 33.34 points to the index; BREN shares increased by 5.16%, contributing 18.22 points; and BRMS shares rose by 30.12%, contributing 17.34 points.

On the other hand, the three stocks that weighed down the IHSG the most last week were PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA), PT Adaro Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), and PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP).

MEGA shares fell by 7.01%, dragging the index down by 3.60 points, ADRO declined by 3.15%, contributing a 2.55-point drop, and INTP shares fell by 6.91%, subtracting 1.89 points from the index.

Over the past week, 263 stocks posted price gains above 2%, while 151 stocks gained between 0-2%. A total of 243 stocks remained stagnant, 131 stocks saw price declines between 0-2%, and the remaining 159 stocks fell by more than 2%. (KR/ZH)
