HUMI to sign a vessel charter contract of USD 5.49 million with purchase option
JAKARTA – PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI), through its subsidiary, PT Hutama Trans Kencana (Matrans), has signed a vessel charter contract alongside purchase option at the end of contract period.
Dedi Hudayana, Director of HUMI, mentioned that the vessel unit leased by Matrans is an oil chemical tanker. The tanker is rented from PT Pelayaran Maritim Hijau (PMH), an unaffiliated company with Matrans.
Matrans has made a payment for prepaid charter worth USD 2 million to PMH. Thus, the contract will be effective starting from January 1, 2025, until the next 5 years.
After the charter period comes to an end, HUMI is granted an option to purchase the vessel for USD 1.5 million. “It may be paid at the time the contract period ends,” said Hudayana in the official statement.
“The vessel charter with Bare Boat Hire Purchase (BBHP) scheme is carried out to develop its subsidiary,” added Hudayana.
According to IDNFinancials data, HUMI posted cash and cash equivalent of USD 51 million as of September 30, 2024. Its revenue stood at USD 92 million, with net profit reaching USD 8 million. (KR/ZH)
