JAKARTA – Agatha Nindya's sale of 58.74 million shares of PT Techno9 Indonesia Tbk (NINE) marked the start of market hints, or the purchasing and selling of shares by investors who possess more than 5% of the shares, on Friday, January 3.

This individual investor decreased her ownership stake in NINE from 13.35% to about 10.64% through PT Victoria Sekuritas Indonesia. NINE shares are involved in the trading of computers and related equipment.

In addition, 37 million shares of PT Hillcon Tbk (HILL), a business that provides management consultancy, construction, and mining services, were sold by PT Hillcon Equity Management. Approximately 61.76% of the controlling stake fraction remains.

Two foreign investors also seemed to be selling shares: CGS International Securities Singapore Pte Ltd sold 3.90 million shares of PT Wilton Makmur Indonesia Tbk (SQMI), a company involved in gold exploration and mining, and HSBC-Fund SVS A/C Chengdong Investment Corp-Self sold 9.36 million shares of coal mining holding company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI).

Finally, PT Asuransi Jiwa Central Asia Raya sold 550 thousand shares of PT Bank Ina Perdana Tbk (BINA) through PT Net Sekuritas.

In the meantime, PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk once more raised its stake by 29.50 million shares in the television and multimedia business PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA). This transaction also turned out to be the market hints' biggest share acquisition this time.

Subsequently, Raden Yohanes Kristian Hardianto purchased 8 million shares of PT Kota Satu Properti Tbk (SATU), a real estate business.

Additionally, two controllers were observed adding shares. PT Bogamulia Nagadi first purchased 2.34 million shares of PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk (TSPC), a pharmaceutical firm. PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala then sold 1.81 million shares of PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA), a financial services provider.

By releasing 1.14 million shares of flexible packaging film manufacturer Trias Sentosa Tbk (TRST) through PT Sucor Sekuritas, PT Prima Polycon Indah concluded the list of market hints. (KD)
