JAKARTA – PT Tanah Laut Tbk (INDX) has committed to contributing to the development of Indonesia's palm sector through its palm downstream strategy.

Dera Fresky, Corporate Secretary of INDX, highlighted that Indonesia is rich in palm resources. This potential, according to Dera, can be optimised to improve community welfare while delivering added value to shareholders.

"As part of this initiative, the company has secured support, including from the Indonesian Palm Council (Dekindo), to ensure the success of the palm downstream program," Fresky stated in an official release on Tuesday (7/1).

INDX has conducted comprehensive mapping of various aspects related to palm production and downstream processes, including the development of derivative palm products.

Additionally, the company is finalizing negotiations for three land purchase options in Pangandaran Regency.

This move, Dera added, is expected to strengthen the supply chain for palm derivative products, enhance the production capacity of high-quality palms, and diversify INDX’s product lines to meet growing market demand.

The company is optimistic that this strategic move will positively impact growth and increase value for shareholders. (DK)
