JAKARTA. Jakarta Stock Price Composite Index (JCI) closed 0.04% or 2.93 points weaker at 7,080.35 last Wednesday (8/1) after gaining a slight jump to 7,083.28 on the day before.

Last Wednesday, JCI was seen peaking at 7,129.29, with the lowest point recorded at 7,046.17. Transaction volume reached 16.13 billion shares, with transaction value of IDR 9.38 trillion.

PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) came up as the Top Leaders with 2.68% gain and contributing 13.42 index points. Meanwhile,  PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) was at the Top Laggards, with 4.60% declis in price, thus dragging the index by 12.82 points.

Meanwhile, foreign investors are still following the net-sell trend since the beginning of the year. Yesterday (8/1), net sell was reported at IDR 353.78 billion or equal to USD 21.84 million.

Shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were being sold the most, with the net sell volume clocking up to 527.19 million. Then, came PT DMS Propertindo Tbk (KOTA) and PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), with total net sell volume of 210.68 million shares and 125.61 million shares, respectively. (KR/ZH)
