JAKARTA – On Tuesday, January 7, the acquisition of 36.22 million SCMA shares by its controller, PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk, marked the start of market hints or share purchase operations by investors holding 5% or more shares.

The subsequent acquisition of 2.45 million shares of PT Batulicin Nusantara Maritim Tbk (BESS), an issuer involved in river and sea transportation, was executed by PT Mega Asta Raya.

Then, through PT Bank DBS Indonesia, DBS Bank Ltd S/A Pemberton Asian Opportunities Fund purchased 32 million shares of PT Sarimelati Kencana Tbk (PZZA). In Indonesia, this foreign investor was able to raise its ownership stake in the franchise holder of the Pizza Hut restaurant chain to 8%.

BBH Luxembourg S/A Fidelity Funds, another foreign investor, subsequently purchased 1.67 million shares in PT Surya Pertiwi Tbk (SPTO), the exclusive distributor of TOTO bathroom products from Japan.

Satrijanto Tirtawisata purchased half a million shares of PT Panorama Sentrawisata Tbk (PANR), a provider of tourism services, through PT Waterfront Sekuritas Indonesia, making him the final investor on the stock purchase list.

Meanwhile, on the stock sale list, fifty million shares of mining parent issuer PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were released by HSBC-Fund SVS A/C Chengdong Investment Corp-Self, resulting in a minor share decrease to 10.52%.

Another foreign investor, Equatorex Sdn Bhd, sold nearly 850 thousand shares in PT Tanah Laut Tbk (INDX), a company that provides port and terminal services.

Through PT Sinarmas Sekuritas, the controller of SMMA, PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala, was observed continuing to release shares of the financial services provider PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA), this time in the amount of 8.12 million shares.

After PT Goldfive Investment Capital, another controller, sold 7.68 million shares in PT Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk (BSML), PT Aims Indo Investama released nearly 240 thousand shares in PT Artha Mahiya Investama Tbk (AIMS), a lifestyle and entertainment investment company. (KD)
