JAKARTA – The total number of shares traded by foreign investors hit 3 billion on Friday, January 10. Sales volume was higher at 3.57 billion shares, but foreign purchase volume was 3.10 billion shares.

On the list of top sell issuers, shares of PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) also made a comeback to the top spot. Foreigners sold about 2.16 billion shares of this holding firm for digital services, with a net sell of 754.26 million shares.

With a net sell of 25.26 million shares, e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) trailed GOTO. Around 42.48 million BUKA shares were purchased while 67.74 million were sold by foreigners.

Then, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), two national banks, announced a net sell of about 25 million shares. Foreigners purchased almost 70 million BBRI shares, while BMRI shares sold for up to 62.87 million pieces.

PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), a mining and energy business, came in last with a net sell of 16.62 million shares and a foreign sales volume of 22.42 million.

However, after foreigners purchased almost 173.99 million of its shares, the mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Mineral Tbk (BRMS) reported a net buy of 109.28 million shares. This issuer was also at the top of today's list of top buys.

A net buy of roughly fifty million shares was then accomplished by PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), a renewable energy issuer. Over 51.10 million of its shares were purchased by foreign investors, while only about 1.4 million were sold.

Following that, PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), a shipping firm, and PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), a television broadcasting company, reported a net buy of between 30 and 33 million shares. This time, foreigners purchased about 41.69 million SCMA shares and 34.80 million BULL shares.

Finally, a net purchase of 20.57 million shares was announced by PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT). The industrial and energy company's foreign investors made the decision to release 31.14 million shares. (KD)
