Foreign trades decline; net sell at 103.72 million share
JAKARTA – Foreign investors sold 2.99 billion shares of stock on Monday, January 9, which was a decrease from the previous stock exchange day. Approximately 2.88 billion shares were purchased.
With 194.12 million shares, PT Goto Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) once again emerged as the stock with the highest net sell. Only about 925.74 million GOTO shares were bought, whereas 1.11 billion shares were sold by foreigners.
After its foreign investors released 195.56 million shares, the mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) followed with a net sell of almost 150 million shares.
Then, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) reported a net sell of nearly 130 million shares. On this day, foreigners released about 200 million shares of this national banking business.
One of Indonesia's e-commerce enterprises, PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), then declared a net sell of 87.62 million shares, with a foreign sales volume of around 118 million.
With a net sell of 43.09 million shares, mining, infrastructure, and oil and gas services provider PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO) was the final issuer in the top sell row. Foreigners sold 55.27 million shares while buying only about 12 million.
Meanwhile, the largest net buy, 52.61 million shares, was made by industrial area developer PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA), followed by energy infrastructure business PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), with 50.84 million shares.
Foreigners purchased around 60 million KIJA shares and around 51.79 million BIPI shares.
With a net buy of about 45.61 million shares, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) came in third. 91.77 million shares of this energy and industrial corporation were purchased by foreigners.
Then, with a net buy of between 38 and 39 million shares, state-owned telecom provider PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) and television broadcasting issuer PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) concluded the top buy series.
About 50.12 million SCMA shares and 83.12 million TLKM shares were purchased by foreign investors. (KD)
