JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) fell 1.02% or 71.99 points to 7,016.88 on Monday (13/1) trading.

The index touched its highest position at 7,089.57 and lowest at 6,986.59. In last weekend's trading, the index closed at 7,088.87.

The three stocks that weighed the most on JCI performance were PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI)PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), and PT Astra International Tbk (ASII). BBRI shares suppressed JCI performance by -24.58 points, BREN -16.38 points, and ASII -6.77 points.

However, a number of big caps stocks contributed to holding the JCI down. At the top of the list, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) contributed +4 points to the JCI in yesterday's trade. Followed by PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) +3.02 points, and PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) +1.88 points.

Most sectoral indices also corrected on Monday. There were only three out of 11 sectoral indices that showed positive performance. The three are the Energy, Basic Materials, and Healthcare sectors.

The volume of shares traded on Monday was recorded at 15.86 billion shares. The value of stock transactions on the exchange was recorded at IDR 11.83 trillion or equivalent to US$727 million, with a trading frequency of 1,378 times. (KR/LM)
