JAKARTA. The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) fell 0.86% or 60.21 points to 6,956.67 on Wednesday (14/1).

This is the lowest position of the JCI in the last 7 months of trading. Previously, the JCI had touched its lowest level on June 26, 2024, at 6,905.64.

PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) shares were ranked first in the Top Laggards, or stocks that weighed on JCI's performance. BREN's share price fell 3.74% and suppressed 14.45 JCI points.

This was followed by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), which experienced a price decline of 2.26% and suppressed 11.17 index points. Third, there are shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), with a price decline of 1.55% and pressing 9.76 index points.

The decline in the JCI in yesterday's trade was also responded to by a net foreign sell of IDR 633.22 billion. On Tuesday (13/1) trading yesterday, foreign investors also recorded a net sell. However, the value was only IDR 383.46 billion. (KR/LM)
